TRAVELING TO AND FROM KNTXT

KNTXT returns to Flanders Expo Ghent, on Saturday 10th February 2024. For our third edition at this iconic venue, KNTXT promises to elevate the experience to new heights. Prepare yourself for a night of breathtaking visuals, pulsating beats from some of the biggest international dj’s, and an immersive atmosphere that will transport you to the core of techno music.

Today we request your attention for the mobility plan drawn up specially for this much-anticipated event. You should avoid coming to Flanders Expo by car. We strongly recommend cycling to the event or using public transportation. We gladly sum up all the information for you:

Flanders Expo is easy to reach by bike. Lots of municipalities are within cycling distance. A free, secure bike parking area will be provided just next to the main entrance. You can navigate here.

You live too far away to come by bike? Park & Bike is a good option. Bring a bike in your car, park your car at an easy to reach and free parking area and cycle to Flanders Expo:

  • P+R Watersportbaan (Zuiderlaan 9000, 9000 Ghent – a 5.8 km bike ride)
  • Hypermarkt Carrefour (Kortrijksesteenweg 1133, 9051 St. Denijs Westrem - a 2.6 km bike ride). You can park here on condition that you do not park in the nearby car parks of Quick and Lunch Garden. These establishments will still be open, so we ask you not to obstruct the visitors of these places.

We kindly ask our KNTXT visitors to leave the car parks tidy.

The easiest way to get to Flanders Expo? Take the train to Gent-Sint-Pieters station, where different connections can get you to Flanders Expo. Take tram T1 on platform 1 or buses 76, 77, 78. Get off at the stop Sint-Denijs-Westrem Flanders Expo, and you will reach your destination after a short walk.

At Gent-Sint-Pieters station it is also possible to park at the NMBS/SCNB car park with a discount: € 10 per 24h from February 10 until February 11. No presale possible, to be paid when leaving the car park.

A free shuttle tram will provide regular transport between the Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station and KNTXT at Flanders Expo. Your ticket for KNTXT is your ticket for this free ride.

The tram ride takes approximately 8 minutes. All trams go up and down between the railway station and Flanders Expo. This route avoids traffic jams, you’ll get to the site quick and with a minimum of hassle.

The tram service from Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station will be assured from 5 PM until 7.30 PM (every 10 minutes), from 8.00 PM until 11 PM (every 8 minutes), and from 11 PM until 01.44 AM (+- every 10 minutes).

The tram service from Flanders Expo Ghent will be assured from 5.02 AM until 8.33 AM (every 10 minutes).

The last bus from Gent-Sint-Pieters station to Flanders Expo leaves at 2.00 AM (bus 78 at platform 5). The first bus from Flanders Expo to Gent-Sint-Pieters station is at 5.53 AM (bus 78).

After the event, return to the bus or tram station following the same route you came from. Check the train timetable before you leave so you don’t miss the train home!

Tip: A handy route planner for public transportation in Belgium can be consulted via this link. A summary of the last & first trains can be found here.

You really don’t have any other option than coming by car? Then take into account long traffic jams on your arrival and departure. Follow the dynamic traffic signs around The Loop to reach the parking. You can pay your parking ticket on the spot.

Stewards will keep a close eye on violators. No parking spots are available outside the official car parks.

We provide parking spots for visitors with a disability and/or reduced mobility: please contact flandersexpo@kntxt.be for more info.

You prefer a more comfy ride? Take a cab! There’s a taxi stop at the train station. The taxi will easily drop you off at a taxi stand at the venue

You prefer to be dropped off by a friend? There is a Kiss & Ride zone provided at walking distance. Head for The Loop P+R and follow the signs. It is not allowed to park there.
